With over 225 acres to wander during your stay and over 70 animal ambassadors to get to know, it is the perfect place to enjoy a relaxing weekend focusing on your health and wellness.

Our mission is to create an immersive gathering in nature centered on the power of community to heal your mind, body and spirit. Start your day in silent meditation floating on the lake.  Learn the gentle healing power of Taichi under the forest canopy.  Get a good dose of Vitamin N on our guided herbal nature walk. Return to the rhythm of life during a drum circles around the camp fire.

Sound & Silence Retreat

Upcoming dates to be determined

Soul Oasis Spa- 5422 S. Saginaw Street, Grand Blanc, MI 48507

Retreats are a great opportunity to enjoy deep meditation and to experience support for our practice.   Take a moment to pause with us as we say goodbye to the past year and welcome everything 2019 has to offer.  The focus of our retreat is the healing powers of both sound and silence.  We will explore three types of sound meditations during an otherwise silent retreat.

Drum Journey

Drumming has been used in healing in every culture since the dawn of man, and for good reason.   We will begin our time together with a seminar on vibrational healing followed by a 50 minute sound journey using 28" Sioux Ceremonial Drum, 26" "Paiste" Sound Creation Gong, 47" Buffalo Drum, and Solfeggio Chimes and other traditional instruments.

Tibetan Singing Bowls

According to Tibetan oral tradition, the existence of singing bowls dates back to the time of the historical Buddha Shakyamuni (560 - 480 B.C.). Singing bowls produce sounds which invoke a deep state of relaxation which naturally assists one in entering into meditation. This candle lit meditation will be held in the pool allowing participants to float while experiencing the relaxing effects of the bowls.

Introduction to Mantra Meditation

Mantra meditation is a natural and graceful system of effortless meditation. The chanting of mantra allows the conscious mind to settle deeply into itself and when the mind settles down, it lets go of all tension and stress and centers itself in the present moment. It is only in the present moment that we find true happiness; those moments when we are free from regrets about the past or anxiety about the future.

In addition to our meditations we will have a pipe ceremony, a drum circle a workshop on finding wholeness  in a chaotic world, opportunities to do art, and a recorded presentation of Anatomy of the Spirit by Caroline Myss.

Check in will be 6pm on Friday.

7pm Introductions and intention setting

The retreat will finish at noon on Sunday.

If you would like to attend but will struggle to arrive by 6 on Friday please let us know what time you will arrive.  We would rather have you arive late than not at all!
